If a prompt comes up asking if you are sure you want to uninstall, simply click Yes. In the list of programs, locate Norton Search and click on Uninstall. Once there, you will want to look for Programs and Features. To uninstall Norton Search, you will need to open your Control Panel. If Norton Safe Search is still showing up as your default browser after trying these steps, then you may need to reset your computer to a previous date and try again. You should now find that your preferred search engine is your default browser. Then, close the browser and re-open it again. Once you have selected your preferred search engine, click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the page to save your changes. Seems like not only are these pages not actually "known" (only "suspected", and wrongly suspected, at that) to be "dangerous", but Norton is screwing with legitimate businesses by scaring away their customers (albeit probably out of incompetence rather than malice.Find the section that says ‘Default Search Engine’ and select the search engine you would like to use (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. Not just a lot of false positives, but a lot of people complaining about how hard it is for them, once their company has been tagged by Norton, to get any kind of response to get untagged.
