The next expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, is expected to release in 2023, which includes more content and the return of Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand. Considering the Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.5 patch update addressed various bug issues while enhancing the Cyberware feature, more slots could be made available, including new items for players to acquire.

The game's recent Edgerunners / 1.6 patch update arrived on 6th September 2022, with players waiting more than six months since the previous update, patch 1.5.
